Outcomes
This qualification is an occupational entry qualification. This means it meets the agreed industry prerequisites to enter the sport and physical activity sector as an employed or self-employed Personal Trainer.
This Personal Trainer qualification at Cambridge Regional College can also lead onto many other courses at the same level and/or higher level to specialise and further increase scope of practise.

General requirements
- Must have completed Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification - Hold an endorsed CIMSPA Gym Instructor Qualification professional standard qualification (option to study this at CRC prior to Personal Trainer Course)
- You must be aged 18 and over, or have completed the Level 2 Gym Instructor Course
- Have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 3 and above.
- Work experience or current employment with the fitness industry is desirable.
- Have an active interest in sport and fitness, as you will be anticipating a career related to the leisure industry.
- Complete interview with course tutor and attend the Personal Trainer taster day.
