Overview

Since the end of the Cold War, the world has seen a resurgence of religious movements in the public sphere. In this Masters-level online short course, you’ll examine:

• emerging theories in the rise of political religion
• the potential for conflict and peace that emerge as a result
• diverse case studies, ranging from religious Zionism to political Islam and national Hindu movements

Using contemporary theoretical frameworks, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the current phenomena of religion in international politics.
