Short Courses

Lehigh University’s history is closely related to the rise of America as an industrial power. The vision of our founder, Asa Packer, an industrial pioneer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, set the foundation for generations of students to learn and live among the nation’s brightest scholars.

Our academic culture encourages faculty to seek new challenges, and allows undergraduate and graduate students to tap their creativity, find innovative solutions, and interact with fellow scholars and researchers.

We foster a culture of discovery, built on our recognition that new understanding and graduates who carry a spirit of inquiry into the world are our greatest contributions to society. Research at Lehigh is at the center of how we look at the world, how we work to contribute to its betterment, and how we educate.

Every Lehigh employee is part of an organization that impacts not only our region, but also the world.

As with our students, we expect the highest quality from our staff and faculty. And we believe our employees meet that expectation every day. In return, Lehigh offers an exciting academic atmosphere, competitive salaries, and excellent benefits.

We encourage our current employees to build their careers here. We also welcome new applicants who wish to join our dynamic community of professionals.

Campus life

Located in Pennsylvania’s scenic Lehigh Valley, the campus is in close proximity to both New York City and Philadelphia and is right in the middle of the Mid-Atlantic corridor. The Lehigh Valley region is home to about 750,000 people, giving our students and the campus community plenty to do. Our campus is on South Mountain in Bethlehem and actually consists of three contiguous areas: The Asa Packer Campus (home to most of our academic and residential buildings), Mountaintop Campus and the Murray H. Goodman Campus (where many of our athletic facilities are located).

Sports facilities

In executing our mission we support the provision of equitable opportunities for all students and staff, in an environment where all individuals are respected and empowered.  Our programs promote and provide opportunities for broad participation, challenging competition, sportsmanship, cooperation, teamwork, commitment, achievement, service to others, enjoyment and the development of enduring attributes and skills.  Programs are offered with intensity levels ranging from NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports, through competitive club sports and intramural sports, to a diversified program of recreational, instructional, and fitness opportunities.
