The history of Ewha, which began with one female student in 1886, is a history of change and innovation for a better society.

Career Development Services
The Student Counseling Center provides various programs to help the students of Ewha to relieve their stress and learn about their personalities through psychological tests. Available programs include individual counseling, group counseling, psychological testing and special lectures.
The I-House provides students an opportunity to experience various cultures with students from diverse backgrounds. The buildings are equipped with common rooms, and facilities for academic, recreational, and cultural activities. As subsidiary facilities, there are computer labs, laundry rooms, reading rooms, seminar rooms, kitchenettes, ironing rooms, a gym, lounges, and a convenience store. Internet access is available in all rooms.
The Centennial Library is acclaimed to be one of the most renowned libraries in Korea.The seven-story building has a capacity of 4,000 seats and 1.3 million volumes, 9,800 periodicals, a digital library and a computerized catalogue system that can be accessedon-line.
The Ewha University Health Service Center( EUHS) is a student welfare organization that provides students with health and medical care services to keep the campus healthy.
The Student Government Association is an organization that is run and organized by students. It represents the interests and concerns of the student body while sponsoring various programs and activities.
The ECC Fitness Center provides a wide variety of scientific exercise programs to promote the physical and mental health and contribute to improving the quality of life for the community of Ewha.
Ewha was officially accredited by the Ministry of Education, becoming the first accredited four-year university in Korea.
