Overview
The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care at Anglia Ruskin University is primed to meet the demand for healthcare professionals, doctors, scientists and social workers in the East of England. It offers this COSBART - Continuing Scenario Based Anaesthetic Resuscitation Training.
Features
COSBART was developed at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust by members of the anaesthetic department in response to the need for a low-cost form of life support training relevant to anaesthesia, rather than general medicine.
The hope is that the regular and frequent practice of scenarios specifically drawn from anaesthesia with one's colleagues is more useful than a triennial three-day course aimed at crises likely to occur on a medical ward.
Programme Structure
This course features:- practice at managing simulated critical incidents and resuscitation scenarios specifically drawn from anaesthesia
