Overview
The PURE - Practical Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia Education offered course at Anglia Ruskin University is suitable for both novice users and those with some experience of using ultrasound who wish to enhance their skills.
It has support from several companies providing a range of ultrasound machines, needles and other equipment for the course.

Programme Structure
Learning blocks include:- upper limb – interscalene supraclavicular and axillary brachial plexus, forearm blocks
- lower limb – femoral canal, fascia iliaca and sciatic nerve blocks
- trunk – transversus abdominis plane, PECS, serratus, ilioinguinal and rectus sheath blocks
- back – central neuraxial blocks
