Overview
The Specialist Mental Health Care module at Anglia Ruskin University will explore the specialisms of forensics, older people, learning disabilities, carers, child and adolescence mental health care needs, as well as specialist community and inpatient services. You’ll also consider an international perspective.

You’ll learn to understand various specialised aspects of the ‘craft of caring’ for people with a serious mental illness and will have the opportunity to explore more specific aspects of professional care.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of more complex individualised care, helping to improve the quality of care your patients receive.
Programme Structure
How you’ll learn:- This is a blended learning module, so you’ll attend two face-to-face study days comprising seminars, lectures and workshops.
- You are expected to attend all sessions in person wherever possible, although a video-link can be arranged if absolutely necessary.
- You will complete your learning online, within an innovative VLE, which takes the form of an international train journey.
