What you will study
Though Provincial Offences courts are beginning to reopen, the pandemic’s effects on POA proceedings can still be felt by practitioners. A high level of uncertainty remains in relation to such issues as how the criteria for unreasonable delay will be considered and applied in light of the pandemic.
Led by The Hon. Justice Rick Libman, this The POA Practitioner's Update - What's New and Important course offered by York University brings you the latest information from an expert faculty of prosecutors and defence practitioners. They will examine recent caselaw and administrative/procedural developments over the preceding 12 months, yielding practical tips that you can immediately apply.
