Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this Introduction to Marketing course at the University of Manitoba, you should be able to:
- apply the terminology used in all marketing activities that are used in real life marketing operations
- understand the consumer and how to determine what services and products should be offered and at what price
- understand how marketing shapes what an organization does and how it is positioned for future growth
- understand how to include a comprehensive analysis of environmental factors to determine possible impacts on the organization and the delivery of its product or service
- understand the tools available to assess and adjust the components of the marketing strategy before implementation occurs
- learn about the tools available to communicate with customers via old and new media
- understand the importance of social responsibility and ethics in marketing
- complete a marketing plan with detailed description of the 4Ps, the environment and how the plan will be implemented and assessed
