City of Glasgow College has over 50 years of meat skills training and expertise and has recently opened a butchery retail and manufacturing operation in its award-winning campus.
The college’s Master Butcher will share some of the skills and knowledge from his 40 years in the butchery trade in this Basic Butchery Skills.
Programme Structure
What you will learn:
- The course is hands-on and you'll learn new skills from butchering your own joints to sausage-making.
- The course will consist of five weekly three-hour evening sessions that will take you through the essentials of working with some of the finest lamb, beef, pork and poultry Scotland has to offer.
