On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:- Critically appraise global energy, sustainability and climate change issues, the full range of energy options, the changing patterns in energy supply and demand, and the mechanisms for engaging stakeholders in proffering solutions and decision making.
- Critically appraise UK energy policy frameworks, strategies, and policy instruments in a broader European and International context.
- Critically evaluate energy sector strategic responses to key global challenges, including emergent opportunities and risks of energy system decentralisation and digitalisation.
- Critically evaluate and explore the multidisciplinary dimensions of requirements for addressing the opportunities and risks of transitioning to a low carbon economy.
