On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:- Critically appraise the key issues pertaining to renewable and sustainable energy and develop a critical perspective of how the sector is developing and the ways in which it will continue to evolve.
- Critically evaluate the electricity market framework, e.g., in the UK, and the policy instruments and discourse in addressing regulation to create demand pull for new technologies to bring them into the generation mix.
- Create a reflective approach to examining the debates in renewable/sustainable energy management in the electricity, industry and transport sectors and demand side considerations.
- Critically analyse the key issues within the renewable energy sector including financial, commercial, technological, political and regulatory practices developing across this sector.
