Learning outcomes
On completion of this Strategic Risk Management course at Robert Gordon University, participants are expected to be able to:
- Critically evaluate the integration of risk management systems in a strategic context.
- Critically appraise the different ontological perspectives of risk/uncertainty, the nature of systemic risk and its management.
- Critically analyse the challenges of risk management at a governance and regulatory level and within organisations.
- Critically analyse the role of Corporate Social Responsibility and ethics in risk management systems and the increasing focus on the Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) metrics in risk assessment.
- Critically appraise the development, implementation and role of Business Continuity Planning with regard to corporate strategy.

- the establishment and maintenance of an effective system of risk management
