Research
In the Wits Faculty of Health Sciences much of the research effort is directed towards serious health issues which are affecting our communities - issues such as HIV/AIDS, uTuberculosis and Malaria. In addition, research into other diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, which are increasing in prevalence in South Africa, also holds prominence.

Based on an ethos of student-centeredness, the Unit is staffed by a small but dedicated team of professionals inclusive of psychologists, social workers, careers educators, life coaches and administrators who offer a variety of supportive and empowering services to the student community.

The Faculty Office is the contact point for all undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences for admissions, enrolments and graduations.
The Faculty Office is situated on the Second Floor of the PV Tobias Health Sciences Building, corner York Road and Princess of Wales Terrace, Parktown, Johannesburg.
Housing services
At Wits, our residences are LIVING and LEARNING centres. We offer a wide variety of residence accommodation, ranging from single-gender residences, catering residence, to mixed-gender residences.
Campus Housing and Residence Life, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the University's residence programme, including accommodation and meals, and the provision of recreational facilities and programmes for the improved academic performance and the holistic development of students within a residential environment.
Library services
he CLM libraries are set in locations convenient to the academic departments they serve. The Commerce Library and the Law Library are situated at Braamfontein Campus West whilst the Management Library is located at the Parktown Management Campus.

The programme emphasizes hands-on learning through fieldwork, internships, and real-world projects. My experience at Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation significantly strengthened my understanding of construction, irrigation systems land surveying, and mechanization.
2. Interdisciplinary Curriculum
Courses such as soil science, hydrology, GIS, farm power and irrigation engineering provide a comprehensive skill set that aligns with industry needs.
3.Relevance to Local Context
The programme is highly applicable to Eswatini�s agricultural sector, particularly in sugarcane production and water management systems.

This is currently my first year here at wit. I transferred here and all I can say is, this uni is BIG and really beautiful. Everyday I walk on campus I see something different, through this I have come across a lot of people from different backgrounds and it�s so interesting!!!!!! I�m just really happy I have this opportunity to study here and experience such a beautiful place

Could be better
The institution isn't bad, just expected more. Every views Wits as the Harvard of SA, but when you look inside the school it looks a little old...
Mind you, it's been here for 100 years, it's like a bigger version of a college. But, it's a beautiful school, just expected more..
