The British Psychoanalytical Society was founded in 1913. With over 400 registered members, we are an internationally renowned training organisation and a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). For the first time our senior members are teaching online. Our online learning follows the same structure that makes us an international leader in psychoanalytic training. 

About

History

We are one of the oldest psychoanalytic institutions and training centres in the world, founded in 1913. Our Alumni include Wilfred Bion, Donald Winnicott, Anna Freud and Melanie Klein.

Education

In 2016, we created our Online Education portal, a space where our long tradition of outstanding teaching meets with the latest technology thus bridging the time and space barriers of face to face teaching. The aim of Online Education is to provide a flexible path into psychoanalysis. We want to respond to the ever changing reality that we live in by providing tailored training plans with opportunities for progression and ongoing support from our dedicated team. Our courses are designed and supervised by senior members of our Society, and are reviewed often so as to ensure ongoing quality.
