Maastricht School of Management

Founded in 1952, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is one of the oldest and most international business schools in the Netherlands. MSM offers research-driven and internationally accredited MBA, MSc and MM degrees, as well as many shorter professional and executive courses. The executive courses are offered as open enrollment programs as well as custom made programs to suit the needs of organizations in the public and private sector.

The Research Department, in collaboration with MSM's administrative staff and in coordination with the Education and Projects & Consultancies Department, steers and supports the research of Faculty and students to enable MSM to achieve its mission. In doing so the Research Department aims to lead MSM to conduct, co-ordinate, commission, publish, apply and disseminate research that:

  • Add value to leaders, managers and entrepreneurs; that
  • Inform organizational learning, social responsiveness and environmental sustainability; that
  • Support policy makers to create and maintain supportive and competitive business conditions and that
  • Bridge the gap between applied research and decision-making.

Housing services

Apart Hotel Randwyck is conveniently located next to the MSM building. The rooms are equipped with: fridge, TV, wireless internet, telephone, bed, chair and desk. Linen and soap will be provided once a week. The guesthouse itself has the following facilities: self-service laundry room including washing machine and tumble dryer (both against a small payment) and an ironing board, bicycle storage and a fitness room (free of charge). There are two pantries equipped with among others a microwave and a stove. Other options are also available. Your contact person at MSM can assist you further.

Library services

The MSM Information Center is a sophisticated multi-functional resource center. Students have access to a wealth of knowledge that can be applied to every aspect of their study. The Information Center features the most advanced online knowledge tools. The Information Center specializes in English language literature in the field of management, finance, information technology, operations, environment, accounting, marketing, tourism and economics. It comprises a foundation for in-depth study in management education.

ICT services

The Information Center is equipped with 10 multimedia pc‹s with internet access and many software applications. Students can use their laptops to access the MSM computer network. Scanning and printing facilities are also available.

Medical services

According to Dutch law all foreign residents are requested to have adequate health insurance. Everyone coming from outsideEU who studies at MSM will receive a basic medical insurance from MSM for the duration of their study in the Netherlands.Students from within EU are expected to arrange their medical insurance themselves. All students must be insuredimmediately upon their arrival in the Netherlands. The insurance arranged through MSM has been specially designed forinternational students

Student Life

Campus life

Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is located in an office park near the centre of the city of Maastricht and has the necessary physical resources (classrooms and office space) to support the programs. The school building was expanded in 1998 to increase the size of the Information Centre (library), to increase the number of offices, and to house a large Conference Hall. The entire school building has wireless internet access and state state-of-the-art facilities.
