Research
Research is of central importance in everything we do. It informs our teaching and helps us to make a difference to business, industry and society as a whole.
Our Technology & Innovation Centre is transforming the way that we work with our partners. Strathclyde's advances in research output and quality have been significant.
We're now among the 20 top research-intensive universities in the UK. Our research helps us to stand out from the crowd.
Career
From the day you arrive at Strathclyde until graduation and beyond, the Careers Service is here to help. If you're looking for a job or want to move into postgraduate study, we'll be happy to support you.
We have great links with industry and are always working with a wide range of employers. We advertise vacancies and even have employers come in to present to our students here on campus.
As a student we'll offer you one-to-one advice including practice interviews and CV checks. We also offer a drop-in service and you'll have the chance to attend a range of events, including careers fairs and the Scottish Graduate Fair, which is organised by Strathclyde.

We hope you have the best time staying with us and enjoy having the entire city on your doorstep.
Library services
Our main library in the Curran Building on the John Anderson campus has around 750,000 volumes and over 8,000 current journal subscriptions, the vast majority of which are available electronically. It covers all subjects taught at Strathclyde, focussing on science, engineering, business, law and social sciences.
Campus life
Our campus is based right in the very heart of Glasgow. National Geographic named Glasgow as one of its 'Best of the World' destinations, while Rough Guide readers have voted Glasgow the world’s friendliest city! And Time Out has just named Glasgow in the top ten best cities in the world and we couldn't agree more.
We're in the city centre, next to the Merchant City, both of which are great locations for sightseeing, shopping and socialising alongside your studies.
Student clubs
With more than 50 active clubs and societies at Strathclyde, it's easy to find other people who share your interests - whether that's music, drama, sports or voluntary work.
The Students' Union is the centre of social life for Strathclyde students - it's where everyone goes to meet and relax with friends and enjoy some great nights out. The Union has bars and clubs to cater for all tastes and you'll find their prices have student budgets well in mind.Strathclyde is one of few institutions in the world to have achieved triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS (as of January 2017, 77 business schools have this status – source: mba.today).
These accreditations are rigorous processes that involve assessment of numerous aspects of the school and its programmes. Typically, this involves the business school submitting an in-depth self-analysis report for scrutiny by these bodies, followed by a visiting panel and the consequent interviewing of current students, staff, alumni, corporate clients and employers. These bodies have no obligation to make an award - indeed, many business schools are unsuccessful in their application.
