The University of Hull was founded in 1927 – originally as University College Hull. The foundation stone was laid the following year by the Duke of York (later King George VI, of The King's Speech fame) and we opened for business with 39 students and 14 ‘one-man’ departments.

Most of the resources can be found in, and accessed from the Library Catalogue. The Library Catalogue also includes many valuable resources which remain in printed form only.

Hull is enhancing the sports facilities as part of a £200-million investment into the campus. The development includes an eight-court sports hall, 110-station fitness suite, floodlit pitch and pitchside changing rooms.
