History

Since its establishment in 1966, Schulich has been a leader in Canada in launching cutting-edge programs and  changing the way in which management education is delivered.

  • 1966-York’s Faculty of Administrative Studies (FAS) established.
  • 1972- MBA/LLB Program established (the first in Canada).
  • 1995- FAS name changed to Schulich School of Business in honour of distinguished benefactor Seymour Schulich.

Research

The Schulich Research Office contributes to the development and delivery of information and is here to assist Schulich researchers in producing complete, strong, and competitive applications for research funding.

Services offered:

  • Develop Faculty wide research initiatives to foster research culture
  • Aid with research planning and communication
  • Identify funding opportunities and support strategies to secure funding
  • Facilitate and advise on grant applications and budgets
  • Liaise with funding agencies or institutions to clarify policy questions or procedures
  • Liaise with the Office of Research Services (ORS), Office of Research Ethics, and Office of the Vice President, Research and Innovation (VPRI)

Student services

International students are key members of the Schulich community and the International Relations team is dedicated to ensuring that your time here is successful and rewarding. 

The International Relations office at Schulich provides in-house services to current and incoming international students to assist with your transition and settlement into Schulich, Canada and Toronto.

Housing services

  • Undergraduate Residences at Keele campus- offers eight different undergraduate residences that house approximately 250 students and are arranged in a traditional style with standard double and single rooms sharing common washrooms.
  • York Apartments- offers self-contained living units on the Keele campus, available to eligible graduate students.
  • QUAD Student Living- luxury student living concept that recently debuted at York.

Library services

The Peter F. Bronfman Business Library, located in the Schulich School of Business, is the library at York University dedicated to supporting business research and writing. It features award-winning architecture and contains a comprehensive collection of business-related print, electronic, and data resources to support students, faculty and staff.
